Martin J. Riedl (PhD, University of Texas at Austin) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Media Engagement’s propaganda research lab. He is also affiliated with the Technology and Information Policy Institute at UT Austin. His research is focused on critical social media studies – the inquiry into the roles that social media and technology companies play in shaping society and governing means of interaction. His topical focus areas include platform governance, digital journalism, and dis/misinformation.
